Milan forward Olivier Giroud has returned to training with the rest of the group and is expected to be on the bench against Spezia this weekend.

The Rossoneri have coped without Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in recent weeks, but the Frenchman has, according to Sky Sport Italia, returned to training with the team.

The broadcaster claims he will get another chance to prove his progress on Friday, and could be back on the bench for the match against the Aquilotti on Saturday.

Giroud has so far played three games with the Rossoneri shirt and has scored two goals, a brace against Cagliari in the second round of fixtures.

He has since struggled with coronavirus and an injury but seems set for a return within the next days and if he won’t make the Spezia game, he should be ready for the Champions League encounter with Atletico Madrid.

Milan are still unbeaten in five games this season and continued with another win against Venezia on Wednesday night.
