Olivier Giroud is out of Milan’s pre-season friendly with Vicenza due to a muscular problem, so Charles De Ketelaere could debut off the bench as a centre-forward.

The Rossoneri take on Vicenza at the Stadio Romeo Menti today at 18.00 UK time.

Giroud is not in the squad, as reports are in that he has sustained a minor muscular injury and is being rested as a precaution.

With Divock Origi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic also still out of action, Ante Rebic starts, but there aren’t many other alternatives at coach Stefano Pioli’s disposal.

New signing De Ketelaere can play in various different roles and one of those is centre-forward, where he could well be making his debut in the second half this evening.

Simon Kjaer and Tiemoue Bakayoko are also rested, as tomorrow Milan play another pre-season test against Pergolettese at their Milanello training ground.

Milan: Maignan; Calabria, Kalulu, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Tonali; Messias, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Rebic

Milan bench: Mirante, Tatarusanu; Ballo-Touré, Florenzi, Gabbia; Adli, Krunic, Pobega, Saelemaekers; De Ketelaere, Lazetic
