Milan star Olivier Giroud has reportedly received a formal proposal to join LAFC on a free transfer with his compatriot Hugo Lloris pushing for a reunion in the MLS.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports on X, formerly Twitter, that LAFC have sent Milan striker Giroud a formal contract proposal ahead of a potential free transfer over the summer.

Giroud’s Milan contract expires this coming June, so he can join the MLS side on a free transfer in the summer.

According to the report, LAFC are leading the race to sign the 2018 France World Cup winner even if the ex-Chelsea and Arsenal striker has received higher offers.

Romano claims Giroud’s compatriot Lloris, a former Tottenham keeper, is pushing to reunite with the Rossoneri star in Los Angeles.

Several sources in Italy claim Giroud is tempted to join the MLS at the end of his contract with Milan on June 30, 2024.

Giroud joined Milan from Chelsea in 2021 and has scored 46 goals in 121 appearances with the Serie A giants.
