New Milan striker Olivier Giroud has arrived at Milanello to begin his pre-season with the Rossoneri.

According to Calciomercato.com, the former Chelsea striker will train with the Rossoneri for the first time today.

He has completed a €2m move from Stamford Bridge this summer and he is now ready to work under Stefano Pioli.

The 34-year-old scored 39 goals in 119 appearances with the Blues and signed a two-year deal with the Rossoneri.

Tuttosport paper reports Giroud could be available to face OGC Nice in a friendly encounter on Saturday.

The Rossoneri will also meet Valencia, Real Madrid and Panathinaikos during the pre-season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will miss all three games as the Swede is recovering from a knee injury, so Giroud will replace him.

The 2018 France World Cup winner is the 20th French player to play for Milan in the history of the club. He will find three compatriots at Milanello: Theo Hernandez, Mike Maignan, Pierre Kalulu.
