Christian Pulisic and Pierre Kalulu sustained injuries, but Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao were visibly furious with Milan coach Stefano Pioli when substituted against Napoli.

Giroud had scored twice to give them a 2-0 half-time lead and did not disguise his irritation and disbelief when taken off 10 minutes from time for Luka Jovic.

He screamed ‘noooo’ and waved his hands in frustration, then refused to sit on the bench when he came off, instead taking a seat on an ice box.

At the same moment, Rafael Leao was replaced by Noah Okafor and DAZN pitchside reporters claim the Portugal international was very angry too.

He continued to ask ‘why’ to Pioli when reaching the touchline and had to be calmed down by teammate Alessandro Florenzi.

There were also two forced changes during the match at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Kalulu went off within 18 minutes, but initial reports suggest rather than a muscular problem, it was a bruise to the thigh.

As for Pulisic, he had provided an assist for Giroud and went off at half-time with a muscular twinge.

  1. I wonder why Milan management is seeing what’s happening and not doing anything about this Coach. He’s not up to the task and needs to leave!!

  2. @Gee if Milan boards wanted to replace Pioli, they shoulda done it way before the season started.
