Sebastian Giovinco is convinced that Major League Soccer can become one of the leading Leagues in world football.

The 29-year-old Italian joined Canadian team Toronto FC from Juventus in 2015, where he has since scored 40 goals in 67 appearances.

Although the forward is critical of certain rules and regulations that exist in MLS, he believes the League has the potential to thrive in the future.

“There are too many regulations and I think that is the problem with this League,” Giovinco commented.

“However, I think that in the coming years they can improve and become one of the best Leagues.”

Other Italians to currently ply their trade in North America include Andrea Pirlo, Antonio Nocerino and Marco Donadel.
