Gilardino returns to Siena

Italy World Cup winner Alberto Gilardino has made his return to the Siena bench just one month after having left the club.

The former Milan and Fiorentina striker had been appointed Siena coach in September 2020, but left the Serie D club on January 11, 2021.

Gilardino has now returned to the club to replace the Latvian Marian Pahars who resigned after collecting only one point in four games.

It was the 38-year-old who announced his return to the Tuscan club.

Siena sit 8th in the Serie D group E.
