Marco Giampaolo claimed Torino’s problems ‘can’t be solved in one game’ after the Granata’s 1-1 draw against Bologna.

Torino sit 19th in the Serie A table with seven points in 13 games.

“It was a game we had to win and to do it, we had to use our characteristics. We shouldn’t have waited for Bologna, but we did it instead, we stopped playing after taking the lead,” Giampaolo told Sky Sport.

“It was a game we had to win and to do it, we had to use our characteristics. We shouldn’t have waited for Bologna, but we did it instead, we stopped playing after taking the lead,” Giampaolo told Sky Sport.

“I rotated the team because we had played on Thursday evening and we didn’t have much time to recover. Today we had a chance to change the trend, we knew how important this game was, but I can’t blame my players.

“We tried to build the attacking action from the back, with the goalkeeper, they did well with the pressing on Bremer and we found no solutions for it.

“We can’t solve this situation in one game. When you have a losing streak, you don’t solve it with three wins in a row, nobody does it.

“It takes patience to gain self-confidence, step by step. It’s not easy but self-confidence can help us.”

Urbano Cairo said last week he is not thinking about sacking his coach.

“I haven’t noticed lack of trust, we are surely struggling but the club has always been perfect with me,” Giampaolo concluded.
