“Our objective is to win games, play positive football and try to entertain the fans. That is the target, no matter who we are facing, so the attitude must always be the same,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

This is considered a head-to-head between clubs with ambitions of Europa League places, but who always seem to falter towards the end.

“Torino were constructed to achieve the European target, whereas we are working to approach that objective. That is the difference between us and them.

“We are up against a very physical, strong and muscular opponent, as Torino make it difficult to play against them. It’s super complicated and we’ve got to get everything right with a top level performance.”

Gregoire Defrel and Nicola Murru have recovered, while Riccardo Saponara is battling Gaston Ramirez for a starting spot.

“Saponara has real talent, but he needs to be in the right team context to really deliver on that. He has to find his consistency and I have faith he will, as he already showed sparks of great work against Milan,” concluded Giampaolo.
