Empoli Coach Marco Giampaolo says star midfielder Riccardo Saponara ‘needs no words’ ahead of their clash with Sampdoria.
The 23-year-old ruled out a move away from the club in January on Monday, amid reported interest from Juventus.
His Coach was full of praise for him and targets a ‘good collective performance’ tomorrow evening against the Blucerchiati.
“It’s a compelling championship both at the top and at the bottom,” he said at today’s Press conference.
“We are preparing for an important challenge against Sampdoria, a very strong team especially at home, but Empoli will think about doing it our way.
“We will play our own game, we’ve thought about the game and trying to give a good collective performance against a team that has achieved important results.
“Saponara needs no words, he knows how to make difficult things look simple.
“The team is fine, I have almost everyone available, I will make my decisions according to a logic of balance.
“Maiello? He has great quality, Dioussè was a surprise, we hope that from next week he can do a bit more and also Mchelidze, who now must train with the team.
“The team is getting to its best condition and is always improving.”
