Marco Giampaolo insists Sampdoria “didn’t have an easy game at all” against Frosinone, despite the 5-0 final result.
The Blucerchiati are on a roll, as after thumping Napoli 3-0, they tore Frosinone apart 5-0 at the Stadio Benito Stirpe.
“There’s no time to enjoy it, because we immediately have another game coming up against Fiorentina,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“There’s no time to enjoy it, because we immediately have another game coming up against Fiorentina,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.
That Week 1 fixture was postponed due to the Ponte Morandi tragedy in Genoa and was rescheduled for Wednesday.
“Despite the result, it wasn’t an easy game at all. The first half was very difficult, but the team held out under pressure, grew and legitimised the victory with that second half performance.
“We did well to score goals with a lot of altruism, setting up players in better positions. We also ruined that statistic that we struggle to beat newly-promoted teams, so critics will have to find something else to complain about.
“This is my third year working with this squad and there is a core of players who don’t change from season to season. They allow us to retain some consistency and help the new arrivals to settle in. They are the ones who allow us to speed up the process, because I already know them and they know my working methods.”
Gregoire Defrel has been a remarkable addition, scoring four goals in three games to make him Capocannoniere.
“When you have fast and agile strikers, you can attack the space, whereas others prefer the ball to feet. I really like quick players.
“Then we have Edgar Barreto, who in midfield represents the thoughts of the Coach and I really pushed for his contract extension.”
