Marco Giampaolo complimented Empoli on catching Milan for 2-2, but hopes “everyone stays” past the transfer window.
The Tuscans are only one point behind the Rossoneri despite having a fraction of the budget and this evening twice fought back for a draw.
“We hope the team can continue like this. We are in good shape, never gave up our style of football and did well to get back on our feet after going behind twice,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“The game should be judged in its entirety. There might’ve been a penalty, but Milan’s first goal was offside.”
Just how far can this Empoli side go?
“My objective is to see how I can help this team improve further. In my view that’ll be the mentality.”
The January transfer window has many of Empoli’s players fielding offers, including Federico Barba, Lorenzo Tonelli, Riccardo Saponara and Piotr Zielinski.
“I don’t know how the players are handling the constant speculation, but they’ve always been very focused in training. I hope everyone stays to the end of the season.”
