The Czech forward appears set to leave Marassi, with the Blucerchiati reported to have agreed to sell him to Roma.
However, the Coach is still hopeful of keeping his star man following tonight’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina.

“If he stayed, I would be very happy. It’s clear that all teams are less without their best players.”
Giampaolo then praised his team for their performance in victory at the Artemio Franchi.
“I always like a Samp team that looks to play football.
“We had the chance to finish the match with Caprari. After Fiorentina’s goal we suffered, but we were always very organised despite the difficulties.
“Since last year we have lost 30 goals, considering the sales of Muriel and Bruno Fernandes. We need to be ready to overcome these absences.”
