“It takes patience to put an end to our difficult situation, but I liked the team today, it’s always very difficult to face Hellas,” Giampaolo told Sky Sport.
Federico Dimarco put the Gialloblu ahead in the second half with a screamer.
“We could have only avoided it by moving the goal away," he said with a smile.
"The reaction was a good one," the Granata coach added.
“Verona are so good on counterattacks, they are quick, and if you play slowly it becomes easier for them. We managed to make them struggle, it was not easy they are like a tittle version of Atalanta.”
Does he need new signings in January?
“You should ask these questions to the club. Coaches don’t count much. Everything depends on the club’s finances, the directors are those who decide.”
