“Emanuele's great strenght is his versatility, which everyone has recognised now. He's a midfielder, but he can adapt to pretty much every role.
“Playing for Napoli is hard because they're a giant among clubs, but he has a level of drive I hadn't seen in him in a very long time.
“He's underestimated, but that's been the story of his life. By now he's used to it, and it helps him play a great championship, it spurs him on.
“Sarri told me that he really wanted him, and [sporting director] Cristiano Giuntoli agreed. It wasn't a difficult deal.
“He costed almost nothing, the relationship between quality and price makes him one of the best possible signings of this market. We're reading of prices on the papers, but Giaccherini is a plentiful wallet that you found in the street.
“Sarri will fix the defence, that doesn't worry me. He knows how it's done.”
