Getafe President Angel Torres warns their Europa League trip to Inter on Thursday “should be annulled or postponed” due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The situation is up in the air, as today the Spanish Government announced all direct flights from Italy to Spain were banned until March 25.

“The Government made this decree, which seems wise to us, so we’ll see what the Italian Government has to say,” Torres told reporters.

“If they confirm the same, then we won’t be able to travel to Milan, so the game should be annulled or postponed.

“There is no definitive answer yet, UEFA haven’t given us any firm indication, we’re in contact and a decision has to be made today.

“We’re not afraid, merely showing a sense of responsibility and caution. The virus is in Madrid too, so it’s not like we need to go to Italy for that.”

Italy is the worst hit country by COVID-19 outside of China, with over 10,000 positive cases and 631 deaths.

The vast majority of those are in the Lombardy region, which includes Milan.

Roma are also due to fly out for their Europa League game with Sevilla, while Napoli will face Barcelona next week in the Champions League.
