The Ivory Coast international departed the capital in January for the wealthy Chinese club and revealed some of the eye-watering details of his earnings.
“A salary of this magnitude cannot be refused,” he explained to L’Equipe.
“They offered me this sum of money because of my abilities: it can be excessive for some, even for me it is.

“They offered me this sum of money because of my abilities: it can be excessive for some, even for me it is.
“Earning €60,000 to play just one match is unimaginable in Europe, even at a club like Real Madrid. But here it's the case.
“They told me ‘this sum of money if you score a goal, this other sum if you aren't able to score’. Every target reached means one million yuans, around €150,000.
“In one match the team can play for €800,000, €900,000 or even one million euros.”
