“Gerson? I hope it's a done deal [with Lille],” Spalletti said in his Press conference ahead of the Coppa Italia game with Cesena.

“It's what I've wanted for him since we approached the window. Gerson has made the correct assessment, giving himself the opportunity to show his value consistently in a more appropriate situation for what he needs.

"The club has made a deal where he'll get to go and play, but I don't know what has happened.

"As you know though, it's kind of on standby so it's possible he could come back. If he does, we'll work with the same enthusiasm as before.

“Leandro Paredes? I'll be happy if he stays.”
