Roma midfielder Gerson has rejected a move to Dynamo Moscow, as his father reveals “there is an 80 per cent chance he will play for Flamengo.”
The Giallorossi had agreed a €10m plus bonuses transfer to Dynamo Moscow and it’s reported the clubs even exchange documents, but he failed to accept their personal terms.
“This is the situation. It’s not just Flamengo who are interested in the player, but other clubs too, despite the fact he is still under contract with Roma,” Gerson’s father Marco Antonio told Radio Brasil.

“We just want what is best for the lad and are not thinking about this in financial terms. We had a meeting and a nice chat with Flamengo, a team where every player would love to go and it’d be a great way of getting back into the Brazil squad.
“As things stand today, there is an 80 per cent chance he will play for Flamengo, even if some think it’s unwise to go back to Brazil. I believe he’d have more chance of playing for the Selecao there.”
Still only 22, Gerson joined Roma from Fluminense in 2016 for €18.6m, but never really made an impact, even during his one-season loan to Fiorentina in 2018-19.
