Genoa have reportedly agreed a transfer fee with Lazio for Felipe Caicedo, but are waiting for the Ecuador international to give his response.

The striker turns 33 next month and his contract at the Stadio Olimpico only runs to the end of the current campaign.

According to multiple sources including Calciomercato.com and Sky Sport Italia, Lazio have accepted the offer to sell their centre-forward.

However, Caicedo remains unconvinced by the idea of joining relegation battlers Genoa.

He scored nine goals in 30 competitive games for Lazio last season, mostly off the bench, and was frustrated by the lack of regular playing time.

That could also be a concern at Genoa, as they are on the verge of signing Sam Lammers on loan from Atalanta as well.

It’s reported by transfer pundit Nicolò Schira that Genoa are proposing a two-year contract with option for a third season, with salary worth €2.2m per year including performance-related bonuses.
