The visitors are still to win a single Serie A game yet this season and these Genoa vs. Salernitana predictions suggest that they will be unlucky once again on Friday evening.

Genoa have struggled recently, missing a number of key players, but they have also had to face some of the biggest teams in Serie A. So a home game against winless Salernitana will probably be welcomed by Alberto Gilardino and his players.
The Grifone never really looked like getting anything from the game against Atalanta last weekend. But a home win here will be expected, even if it is a much closer game that either head coach would prefer.
Genoa have actually scored more goals than most of the sides around them in the bottom half of the table and will be looking to find the net on a number of occasions on Friday – making a bet on over 2.5 goals a potentially wise move.
Salernitana, on the other hand, continue to struggle in their third consecutive season in the Italian top-flight. Two late goals from Boulaye Dia saved a point last weekend against Cagliari and it could be the Senegal striker that gives them hope against Genoa.
There haven’t been too many goals to celebrate this season though and the Granata also have the worst defensive record in Serie A. Pippo Inzaghi will be hoping to turn that around fairly quickly but it could be another disappointing weekend for the visitors.
Inzaghi will be looking at exploiting the various injury absences for the hosts here. But it still seems more likely that it will be Genoa that claim all three points.

Alberto Gilardino will still be without Kevin Strootman and Mateo Retegui, which will make winning this one a whole lot harder. He should be able to field a strong side apart from that though.
Pippo Inzaghi should not have too many injury concerns ahead of this one, meaning that he will get more time to formulate his preferred starting XI. Whoever he does go for in the end, they will need to start winning games soon to ensure that Salernitana stay up this season.
