Genoa are reportedly stalling on a contract for free agent Nabil Bentaleb, as they are unconvinced by his medical.
The 26-year-old Algeria international is available after his Schalke 04 contract was allowed to expire, having previously played for Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
He had a medical last week, but Sportitalia claim that Genoa were unconvinced by the results of the tests.
Bentaleb had surgery for a groin issue in March and has not played since then.
He had agreed a two-year contract with Genoa, but the situation seems to be at a standstill for the moment.
