Genoa transfer target Amine Harit has been told he is out of Roberto De Zerbi’s plans at Olympique Marseille.

The Morocco international had been on the radar for the Marassi club already over the last few weeks, so this news from France will be a major boost.

According to Footmercato and Le Provence, De Zerbi decided that with so many new signings this summer, he is forced to cut out some players from the squad and Harit is one of them.

The 27-year-old contributed two goals and eight assists last season and can play in a variety of roles, from trequartista to the left or right attacking flank.

He has 24 senior caps for Morocco, scoring one goal and assisting four, but with French citizenship can register in Serie A as an EU player.

A product of the academy at FC Nantes, he moved on to Schalke 04 before coming to Marseille in 2021.

The asking price is believed to be around €15m, but under contract until June 2027, they could accept a loan with option to buy.

Among the others on the way out of Olymique Marseille this summer are former Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout, Chancel Mbemba and Samuel Gigot.
