President Enrico Preziosi has repeatedly stated he wants to sell the Serie A club, as for two seasons in a row he has narrowly avoided relegation on the final day.
He turned down a bid from a group of Italian businessmen, including Leeds United owner Radrizzani, calling it “ridiculous.”
According to the Secolo XIX newspaper, the offer was worth circa €30m, along with taking on all of the club’s debt.
Now Moroccan investor Rahhal Boulgoute is also preparing a takeover proposal for Genoa, just months after he had already been interested in buying their city rivals Sampdoria.
“We are waiting for Genoa to hand over the paperwork regarding their accounts for the last few months, so after we get those, we can prepare an offer within 72 hours,” Boulgoute’s representative Fabio Giordano told Calcio e Finanza.
“We have the utmost respect for President Preziosi and would like him to remain as a minority investor.”
