Genoa have agreed a deal with Marseille to bring Ruslan Malinovskyi back to Serie A according to multiple reports on Thursday evening.
As reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Ukrainian will join Genoa on a loan deal with an option to make the move permanent for a reported fee of €10m.
Mailovskyi spent four years on Atalanta’s books before joining Marseille on loan in the most recent January transfer window. His move was later made permanent, but the Ligue 1 side are already looking to move the 30-year-old on.
There has been plenty of interest in Malinovsky so far this summer, with a host of Serie A teams, including the likes of Monza, Torino and Bologna looking to strike a deal with Marseille. Besiktas have also had a proposal turned down according to recent reports.
Now though, Malinovskyi is set to join Genoa for their first season back in the top flight. The customary medical tests are now being scheduled.
