Genoa have asked Roma for youth team midfielder Edoardo Bove as part of the Eldor Shomurodov deal.

Multiple sources report the negotiations to bring Uzbekistan striker Shomurodov to the Stadio Olimpico are progressing so swiftly, they could exchange contracts tomorrow.

It would be a loan with option to buy, becoming an obligation if certain conditions are met during the season, worth a total €16m plus bonuses.

According to Calciomercato.it and Il Messaggero reporter Eleonora Trotta, Genoa have requested Bove as part of the deal.

Bove came up through the Roma youth academy and turned 19 in May, progressing to the senior squad.

He has appeared for Italy at Under-16 and Under-18 levels, with one Serie A game under his belt for Roma.

Catania, Triestina, Pisa and Reggina have also been mentioned as possible loan candidates for Bove, but Genoa would allow him to continue his development in Serie A, as well as lower the cost of the Shomurodov transfer.
