“You can’t sell someone like Perotti on the last day of the transfer window, the money would have made us comfortable, but we’re in a better place now than a few years ago.”

The Grifone also appeared to be close to Roma’s Juan Iturbe, before the Giallorossi decided to retain him, and Preziosi still can’t believe the move didn’t happen.

“I don’t want to talk about the non-arrival of Iturbe. The only thing I’ll say is that I’ve never seen something like this happen in 25 years in football.

“Iturbe had already met his teammates, it was done. His arrival had nothing to do with Perotti, it would have been to complete the squad.”
