The ongoing Prisma investigation into Juventus’ financial practices has officially expanded, with the Genoa Public Prosecutor’s Office scrutinising deals completed between the Old Lady and Sampdoria.

ANSA details how the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office, who are heading the Prisma investigation, sent documents to six other prosecutors around Italy last month, allowing them to look into the suspicious deals carried out with Juventus.

Three deals in particular have caught the eye of Genoa assistant prosecutor Francesco Pinto, who is now investigating the transactions with the Guardia di Finanza, Italy’s financial police.

At the centre of this strand of the investigation are the deals involving Emil Audero, Daouda Peeters and Erasmo Mulè.

Audero is the most important of these three, being purchased by Sampdoria from Juventus in July 2019 for €20m. Peeters joined the Bianconeri Under-23 squad from the Blucerchiati Primavera in January 2019 for €4m and finished the season in Liguria.

In August 2019, Juventus paid Sampdoria €3.5m for Mulè, who has bounced around to various lower tier clubs on loan.
