‘Genoa must fire up the fans’

Genoa boss Aurelio Andreazzoli has demanded that his side “fire up the fans” against Milan in Serie A tomorrow.

Andreazzoli is under similar pressure to deliver as opposite number Marco Giampaolo, with Genoa having lost four of their last five League games.

“I want a Genoa side who are able to fire up the fans, like they did in the first two home games,” the former Empoli Coach said at a Press conference.

“And I expect them to express the enthusiasm they showed throughout the week in training, always taking into account the opponents. But our objective will be to get our fans going.

“It’s been a normal week. We haven’t turned back since Monday, we’ve only looked forward to what we have to do against Milan.

“We’ve worked, looking for that enthusiasm a team need for such an important game. We want to make amends for this dissatisfying situation.

“If there’s truly anything for us to build on, we must think of the good things we’ve done in the recent past.”
