Genoa director of sport Giorgio Perinetti invited Napoli to “put their cards on the table” for goalkeeper Mattia Perin.
 
The shot-stopper is the number one choice to replace Pepe Reina, whose contract is not being renewed and expires in June.
 
Still only 25, but with two serious knee injuries already, Perin is reaching the stage where he could move on to a bigger club.
 
Genoa director Perinetti spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss and was asked if Napoli had enquired about Perin.

“In the week building up to a game, we focus only on the match,” replied Perinetti.
 
“We have an excellent rapport with Napoli and I don’t know what will happen. Of course, we’d like to keep Perin, because he embodies the soul of Genoa, but I understand that a player wants to measure himself up against the competition in the Champions League, so we’ll see.
 
“We have always negotiated calmly and with the intent of collaboration. One day, Napoli will put their cards on the table and we’ll see what is the opportune course of action.”
