Genoa have turned to Juventus in their search for defensive reinforcements ahead of the 2023-24 season and are seeking to strike a deal for young defender Koni De Winter according to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio.
The newly-promoted side are said to be looking to secure a loan deal for De Winter, although Juventus would like them to include a mandatory buy clause in his contract.
The Belgium U21 centre-back joined Juventus from Zulte Waregem in 2018, initially playing for the Primavera squad and U23 side. He is currently contracted until the summer of 2026.
The 21-year-old is yet to feature for Juventus’ first team domestically, although does have two substitute appearances in the Champions League under his belt.
De Winter also spent the 2022-23 season on loan with Empoli, where he played on 14 occasions in Serie A, impressing during that period.
Frosinone, also promoted from Serie B at the end of last season, are also interested in the young Belgian defender.
