Negotiations have reportedly broken down completely between Genoa and RCD Mallorca for Leo Roman after the Spanish side changed the conditions of the deal.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper was all set to come in and replace Josep Martinez, who completed his transfer to Inter for €15m including bonuses.

According to both Sky Sport Italia and transfer pundit Matteo Moretto of Relevo, Genoa had agreed personal terms with Roman and were very close to shaking hands with Mallorca too until the LaLiga side suddenly changed their demands.

This irritated Genoa, who pulled out and are now looking at other alternatives.

Genoa irritated over Leo Roman changes

They can hope that the player will push Mallorca to reconsider, but the situation might have already deteriorated too far.

Roman spent last season on loan at Real Oviedo and has only three LaLiga appearances under his belt.

It is becoming quite a saga for the Grifone to find a new goalkeeper, as their offers for PAOK Salonika man Dominik Kotarski have also been rejected.
