There are mixed reports in Italy on what comes next for Rade Dragusin, as while Genoa are confident of signing him to a new contract, Atalanta and Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to buy the defender.

The 21-year-old Romania international came up through the Juventus youth academy, having joined in 2018, and went out on several loan spells to Sampdoria, Salernitana and Genoa.

He made the move to Genoa permanent in the summer for €5.5m plus up to €1.8m in further bonuses.

The contract runs to June 2027 and Genoa, as well as Fabrizio Romano, assure they are confident of securing him to a new deal until 2028.

However, that does not mean Dragusin will remain with the Grifone for that much longer, as there is still strong interest.

Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport Italia notes that Atalanta have made an approach close to €20m, but that the fact Tottenham are in the race will bump that up to €30m.

There were some reports of a €30m release clause in the new contract, but that does not appear to be the case.
