According to CalcioNews24, Veloso will not be given a new contract after another injury-hit campaign, while Genoa sporting director Giorgio Perinetti is ‘already working’ on a deal to bring in Bennasser on loan next season.

The Moroccan is considered a bright prospect in Ligue 1, but despite showing promise at Caen this term, he will face competition from the likes of Fabinho and Joao Moutinho when he returns to the principality.

Bennasser – who turns 22 in July – was linked with Fiorentina and Napoli before he joined the 2016-17 French champions, as well as Bologna, who tried to sign him in January.
