Genoa were tipped to make a move for Lucas last week, and the Spaniard seemed to be the player Preziosi was describing, given his profile as a wide attacker in need of a career revival, akin to precedessors Iago Falque and Diego Perotti.
“We’re looking at two wide forwards, but two top ones: we’ve enjoyed Perotti and Iago Falque in the past,” he told reporters.
“We want players of their level and something more. Foreigners or Italians? We’ll see, Falque and Perotti were foreigners, but being foreign doesn’t count for anything when it comes to certain players.
“For others, there’s a need for adaptation, but for those who play football in a certain way, they’re able to prove themselves right away.
“We have two players in mind, one we’ve already done a deal for. As for the other, he can visit next week and is an extraordinary player.”
