Genoa have called off training today so President Enrico Preziosi can summon Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli for showdown talks.
Andreazzoli appeared to have been given a stay of execution after Genoa lost Stefano Pioli to Milan.
However, Gazzetta dello Sport and ANSA both report changes could yet be afoot as the Grifone players not on international duty did not train on Tuesday morning.
That is so Preziosi can run the rule over the former Empoli boss in a face-to-face meeting after four points and no wins in the side’s last five games.
Gennaro Gattuso, Beppe Iachini and Davide Nicola have all been put forward as possible replacements for the 65-year-old.
