Genoa could ask Inter for help after Alessandro Matri’s injury, requesting Daniel Osvaldo or George Puscas.

The Grifone will be without top scorer Matri for at least six weeks after he picked up a calf strain during their 3-1 defeat at San Siro on Sunday.

It’s a heavy blow and the club is looking elsewhere for reinforcements during the January transfer window, having already sent Mauricio Pinilla to Atalanta.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the main target is Inter outcast Osvaldo, who was frozen out of the squad after attempting to attack teammate Mauro Icardi during the Juventus match.

Cagliari have also been linked with Osvaldo, but he is reported to be looking for a club higher up the standings and Genoa are currently in front of Inter.

Another option is also from the Nerazzurri, as Genoa are interested in 18-year-old Romanian Puscas, who is starring for the Inter youth academy.
