Both Genoa and Leicester City have asked Chelsea to take Italy Under-21 international Cesare Casadei on loan, claim Sky Sport Italia.
The 20-year-old midfield talent was named Player of the Tournament at the Under-20 World Cup when Italy reached the Final, as he was also top scorer in the competition.
Inter sold him to Chelsea for €15m last summer and in January he was sent on loan to Championship side Reading.
Another loan is expected for this season to help Casadei get regular playing time and aid his development.
Leicester City have requested him and could be the favourites with the presence of coach Enzo Maresca.
However, they are in the Championship following relegation and Casadei would prefer a top flight experience.
Sky Sport Italia insist Genoa have made an approach following their promotion to Serie A.
Meanwhile, today Genoa officially sold 18-year-old midfielder Luca Lipani to Sassuolo and are interested in Cremonese wing-back Emanuele Valeri.
