Beppe Iachini’s side have secured another season in Serie A, as the gap down to Benevento at 18th in the table has increased to eight points with two games left.

Cagliari, Torino and Spezia are still fighting for safety in the two remaining games, but the Rossoblu from Sardinia are in the best position of the three.

The Casteddu need one more point to secure their place in the top division, whilst Torino have one game in hand, due to the postponed fixture against Lazio.

Spezia and Torino sit four points above the Streghe with two games remaining and Filippo Inzaghi’s men must secure two wins in their last two games to stand a chance of beating the drop.

Parma and Crotone have already been relegated and Benevento have a big mountain to climb to avoid following them down to Serie B.

But Benevento will play Crotone at home and then Torino away in the last round of fixtures, a potentially decisive game on May 23.
