Genoa have reportedly reached an agreement with Herta Berlin over the return of Krzysztof Piatek to Marassi.

Sky Sport Italia reports the Poland international is on the verge of returning to his former club. The Grifone has reached an agreement with Herta Berlin on the basis of a loan deal with an option to buy for €17m.

The player has yet to make a decision over his future and is considering the offer from his ex club.

The 26-year-old has scored one goal in nine Bundesliga appearances this season.

He first joined Genoa in 2018 scoring 19 goals in 21 appearances with the club.

He completed a €30m move to Milan in January 2020 and managed 16 goals in 41 appearances with the Rossoneri.

He eventually moved to Herta Berlin in a €24m deal in January 2020.

  1. Has gone downhill since his Milan days, but for Genoa he may be just what they need. They’re an awful team, and he might just get them out of trouble.

  2. As a Hertha BSC fan, I hope this deal goes through. It’s best for us and for him. Also, 17M is robbing Genoa blind for the Piatek we saw at Hertha. Wish him the best and hope he can get back to scoring form soon.
