Milan are taking time to choose Stefano Pioli’s successor, but according to Gazzetta, there is a draft contract ready for Spanish tactician Julen Lopetegui who is expected to be offered €4m per season until 2027.

Spanish coach Lopetegui appears to be Milan’s leading candidate to replace Pioli next season, even if the Rossoneri are still making their assessments, especially considering the resistance from most of their fans.

Gazzetta confirms the Serie A giants are taking their time even though a draft contract is ready for the ex-Real Madrid and Wolves coach.

Revealed: Milan’s draft contract for Lopetegui

According to the pink paper, the Rossoneri are prepared to offer Lopetegui a three-year contract worth €4m per season. Gazzetta predicts Milan directors will soon meet Lopetegui’s representatives again.

The Milan-based newspaper also reports that Milan directors are considering the fans’ opinions, but Lopetegui remains the first option to replace Pioli. However, if negotiations with the Spaniard collapse, the Serie A giants would consider Roberto De Zerbi and Paulo Fonseca.
