According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan star Rafael Leao has snubbed Chelsea and Real Madrid offers and wants to continue with the Rossoneri.

The Portuguese star’s deal at the Stadio Meazza expires in June 2024 and talks with the Rossoneri are ongoing.

Chelsea and Real Madrid have reportedly held talks with Jorge Mendes, one of his representatives, but according to Gazzetta, Leao has snubbed both European giants as he wants to continue with the Rossoneri.

The economic agreement between the two parties is not believed to be an issue, with Milan planning to raise his salary to €7m per season.

However, there’s still no agreement over the fine worth more than €20m that Leao owes to his former club Sporting CP for terminating his contract unilaterally in 2018.

The player’s entourage expects Milan to pay part of the fee, something that Milan are not convinced of doing.

A Bola reported last week that Chelsea representatives have met Sporting CP to have a full picture of the situation, but according to Gazzetta, Leao does not want to move to Stamford Bridge and has tasked his agents with reaching an agreement with Milan.
