Romelu Lukaku is unhappy at Chelsea and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, he is ready to take a pay cut to return to Inter.

The Belgian striker returned to Stamford Bridge in a €113m deal in the summer but has only scored ten goals with Chelsea so far and was left on the bench for their Champions League clash against Lille on Tuesday.

Thomas Tuchel has admitted that he doesn’t know how to involve Lukaku more in his tactics and the striker is unhappy in London, where he has not settled.

Back in December, Lukaku apologised to Inter fans for the way he had left in the summer, saying that he’d like to return to the club sooner or later.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku dreams of returning to Inter and is ready to take a pay cut to wear the Nerazzurri shirt again. He is in contact with some of Inter’s directors and is aware that his return would be a hefty operation for the club’s finances.

Therefore, he’d be ready to take a pay cut to play with Inter again. At the moment, Lukaku’s return is not in the club’s plans. Sassuolo‘s Gianluca Scamacca is their priority target for the summer but, perhaps, the club’s stance ‘could change with time.’

  1. He’s allowed to be unhappy but good luck to him convincing his employers to part with the 113m contract they bought and for Inter to buy him back.

  2. Dude just signed the contract like a few months ago.. I like him as a player but this guy is hella unprofessional.

  3. Inter create record number of chances but don’t have players who actually can finish off those chances. Inter’s biggest threat upfront is Dzeko because lazy Lautaro can’t even score a tap in. So at this point he will be a great addition and I’m not surprised if Inter actually are looking into his situation closely. But if he left because of money why would he come back when he will get way less than what he currently gets. For sure Inzaghi would be more than happy to have him back but however both Lukaku and Inter want want each other it won’t happen. Inter should focus on realistic targets

  4. haha, this is so funny. Chelsea waste over 100 million on him. He leaves Inter for money. The coach quits in a childish tantrum. And Inter are much the same quality as before!

  5. @chris jp

Yeah same as before , not expecting to go far in champs lge

    But dominates the domestic scene

Super coppa in the bag, favourites to win serie a and in semis in the coppa

    Forza inter sempre
