According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter and Barcelona directors met in Catalunya on Friday with the Nerazzurri interested in Franck Kessié, Marcos Alonso and Samuel Umtiti.

The Nerazzurri director Piero Ausilio reportedly met his Barcelona counterparts Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruijff on Friday. Ausilio was accompanied by Edoardo Crnjar, an agent with a solid bond with Barcelona as well as Roberto De Zerbi’s representative.

According to Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri are interested in Kessié and are open to swapping the former Milan and Atalanta midfielder with Marcelo Brozovic. Barça boss Xavi is an admirer of the Croatia international and sees him as an excellent addition to his squad, especially if Kessié leaves.

Inter are also planning to strengthen other departments with Barcelona players: Umtiti is reported to be one of their options to replace the departing Milan Skriniar, while Marcos Alonso would bolster Simone Inzaghi’s options on the left wing.

Jordi Alba doesn’t appear to be in Barcelona’s plans, but the Nerazzurri are not interested in the Spain international whose salary is unaffordable for the Serie A giants.
