Nerazzurri director Beppe Marotta has confirmed several times that Eriksen is not “functional” to Antonio Conte’s football and is therefore on the market in the January window.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a return to Spurs is on the cards, especially if Dele Alli makes the move to Paris Saint-Germain.

While Eriksen has also been linked with PSG, numerous reports suggest new coach Pochettino is in no particular rush to bring the Dane in after they worked together in London.

The player he does want a reunion with is Alli, who is struggling for playing time under Jose Mourinho.

Inter paid €27m to sign Eriksen from Tottenham in January 2020, when he had only five months left on his contract.
