Emotional scenes at San Siro where Milan fans welcomed Ivan Gazidis on his return to the stadium after receiving cancer treatment.

Gazidis was diagnosed with throat cancer in July and spent the last few months in New York to get treatment.

He had returned to Milan a couple of weeks ago and today he was at the Stadio Meazza to follow a Milan game for the first time this season.
The Rossoneri fans in the Curva Nord welcomed him back with a banner that read: ‘Courage and tenacity, a warm welcome back home to Ivan Gazidis.’
The former Arsenal director went under the Curva to thank Milan fans and looked visibly touched by their affection.
