The duo attended a Diavolo training session yesterday, presided over by Gattuso, who is hoping it will become a regular occurrence.

“There’s a lot of pressure and it’s strange, but really nice,” Gattuso told Mediaset when asked about their presence at training.

“I hope they come often, because we need people here like them.

“The players are shaking hands with people who made history and they can exchange words with them.

“It is all positive energy.”

Milan, who recently completed their pre-season tour of the United States, are now back in Italy preparing for next weekend's Serie A opener against Genoa.
