Gennaro Gattuso believes Milan’s double-header against Lazio “will tell us how good we are and what we’re capable of.”
Milan won their second straight game on Sunday as they beat Cagliari 2-1 to close in on a Europa League place in Serie A, and next up for the Rossoneri are back-to-back clashes with Lazio.
“We must keep thinking game by game and work with spirit and commitment,” the Coach told Rai Radio.

“On a physical and mental level, we’re growing. I’ve had great involvement from the lads and I thank them, the credit belongs to them.
“Kessie reminds me of myself. He has similar qualities: he has 6-7 goals in his legs as a ‘mezz’ala’ and incredible quality.
“If he’s fit, he can express himself at the highest levels. I like changing things, but we need to work on certain concepts and that means we’ll go on with the 4-3-3.
“For now, I’m coaching the team for whom I played for several years, and I hope to stay here.
“I’ve never made calculations. There’s so much to learn in this trade. The road is long, but I hope to stay at this club because it’s my home.
“Milan-Lazio? I’m very preoccupied [with the tie]. I’m surprised with how Inzaghi’s team have played so far.
“My squad? I don’t think there’s a standout player in this Milan. There’s a young group of players here, showing great involvement and openness to everything I’m proposing.
“We’ll face a very strong team in Lazio. These two games will certainly tell us how good we are and what we’re capable of.
“Market? We’ll stay as we are. Eleven players arrived last summer and some of them haven’t expressed themselves properly yet.
“We can do more. We’ve decided to stay as we are.”
