Milan Coach Gennaro Gattuso praised rival Simone Inzaghi of Lazio ahead of their double clash. “He’s much more talented than me.”

It kicks off on Sunday at 17.00 GMT, click here for a match preview, but then these sides meet again in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday.

“It’s a game like the others, there are three points up for grabs and we need a great performance, hopefully making the most of home advantage,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“It’s not true that I have two different line-ups for Serie A and the Cup competitions. The priority is tomorrow, then we’ll think about Wednesday.

“Lazio combine technique with physical strength and are frankly scary when they go on the counter. We must be ready for anything and raise the bar, as against Cagliari we ran some risks in the final stages and that is something we have to improve on.

“As Lazio can pour forward with four or five players into the box, we must avoid giving the ball away cheaply in the middle of the park.

“I’d happily see a repeat of Nikola Kalinic’s performance against Cagliari. It’s true, we could score a few more goals, but we do have plenty of chances. If we continue to create at this rate, then we’ll improve the goals tally too.”

Ciro Immobile is out injured, while the Rossoneri have Ricardo Rodriguez suspended.

“I know Inzaghi well, we even did our Masters degree together at Coverciano. He is much more talented than me and has a lot more experience, so I’m always ready to learn,” smiled Gattuso.

“Simone’s always been smart, he knows how to speak to players and get inside their heads.”

Rino then joked about sending scouts to climb up a tree and spy on opposition training sessions.

“You did that in Serie C. This is Milan. We’ve got drones!”
