Milan Coach Gennaro Gattuso says “it’s right that I take all the responsibility” after the 0-0 draw with Frosinone.

The Rossoneri have now gone five games without a win in all competitions, and haven’t scored in four consecutive Serie A games for the first time since 1984.

“In the first half we had a bad game,” Gattuso admitted in his post-match interview with DAZN.

“Against Fiorentina we created and we played better, here we gave the first half to Frosinone. We didn’t do well, and they won every 50-50.

“To reach our objective of Champions League qualification we can’t play the way we did in the first half.

“You can’t face an important match the way we did today, giving 45 minutes to your opponents.

“We’re not in a good period and the results aren’t coming: I cannot accept a performance like the one in the first half.

“My concern is my team, I’m not thinking about my own position. I’m judged by results and I’ll put my face forward.

“I’m the captain of this ship, so it’s only right that I take all the responsibility. It’s important for me to understand how to make my players play their best, because right now they’re performing below their means.

“There’s no tranquility and they look nervous, that’s what I need to think about. As for the rest, anything can happen.”
